§ 01
Purpose
These Listing Rules govern what may be submitted to MCUniverse and how the platform may be used by server owners and players. They exist to keep the directory accurate, useful, and safe. They apply in addition to — and do not replace — the full Terms of Service.
Rules are enforced by the MCUniverse administration team. We interpret rules in spirit, not just letter; attempts to find loopholes that violate the intent of a rule are treated as violations.
§ 02
Server Requirements
To be listed on MCUniverse, a server must meet the following baseline requirements:
01
Must be a real, connectable Minecraft server
The listed IP or hostname must resolve to a functioning Minecraft server. Placeholder, test, or permanently offline servers are not permitted.
02
Must comply with Mojang's EULA and Usage Guidelines
Your server must not operate in violation of the Minecraft End User License Agreement (EULA) or Mojang's current Commercial Usage Guidelines. This includes prohibited monetization practices.
03
One listing per server
A single server IP may only appear once in the directory. Duplicate listings — whether under the same or different accounts — will be removed. The original listing is generally retained.
04
Submitter must be authorized
You must be the server owner or have explicit permission from the owner to submit the listing. Submitting a server you do not control without permission is not allowed.
05
Information must be accurate
Server name, game version, description, and IP must accurately represent the server. Listings that are deliberately misleading will be removed.
06
Status data access must be permitted
By submitting your listing, you agree to allow MCUniverse to connect periodically to your server to retrieve public status data (player count, MOTD, version). Servers that block or interfere with these checks may be suspended.
§ 03
Content Standards
All content submitted as part of a listing — name, description, banner image, tags — must adhere to the following standards:
Violation severity:
Remove Content removal only
Warning Formal warning issued
Ban Risk May result in account ban
01
No sexual or adult content Ban Risk
Descriptions, banners, and server names must not contain pornographic, sexually explicit, or suggestive content. This applies to servers that host or facilitate such content.
02
No hateful or discriminatory content Ban Risk
Content promoting racism, sexism, homophobia, religious hatred, or discrimination of any kind is not permitted in any listing field.
03
No illegal activity Ban Risk
Servers must not facilitate, advertise, or promote illegal activity. This includes piracy, gambling targeting minors, or violations of applicable law.
04
No impersonation Warning
Server names and descriptions must not impersonate other servers, brands, or the MCUniverse / TNOONE platform.
05
No rapidly flashing banners Remove
Banner images that flash rapidly are forbidden. This is both an accessibility concern and a quality standard.
06
Descriptions must be genuine Warning
Descriptions must describe the actual server. Keyword stuffing, gibberish, placeholder text ("coming soon", "TBD"), or content entirely unrelated to the server is not permitted.
07
No excessive capitalization or spam formatting Remove
Descriptions written entirely in caps, with excessive punctuation, or designed purely to grab visual attention in low-quality ways will be flagged for editing.
§ 04
Voting Integrity
Votes power the ranking system. Manipulating them undermines the platform for every legitimate server owner. The following are strictly prohibited:
01
No automated voting Ban Risk
Using scripts, bots, macros, or any automated mechanism to cast votes is not permitted.
02
No multi-account voting Ban Risk
Creating or using multiple accounts to generate additional votes for any server is not permitted.
03
No vote exchanges Warning
Coordinating vote swaps or vote rings with other server owners — whether direct or through third-party communities — is not permitted.
04
No proxy or VPN abuse Ban Risk
Using proxies, VPNs, Tor, or similar tools specifically to circumvent vote limits or deduplication is not permitted. (Note: we do not prohibit general VPN use, only its use to manipulate voting.)
Confirmed vote manipulation will result in vote resets and may result in permanent listing removal and account ban, without refund of any paid tier. Detection methods are not disclosed.
§ 05
Account Conduct
01
One account per person
Each individual may maintain one account. Circumventing a ban by creating a new account is a permanent ban offense.
02
No abuse of staff or other users
Harassment, threats, or abuse directed at MCUniverse staff or other users — through any channel — will result in account action.
03
No abuse of the platform infrastructure
Attempting to probe, exploit, or interfere with MCUniverse systems — including but not limited to SQL injection, brute force, or denial-of-service — will result in an immediate permanent ban and may be reported to relevant authorities.
§ 06
Enforcement
The MCUniverse team enforces these rules at its discretion. Enforcement actions scale with severity and history:
!
Warning
Formal notice issued. Content may be edited or removed. No suspension.
⊘
Suspension
Listing or account suspended, temporarily or indefinitely pending review.
✕
Permanent Ban
Account and all listings permanently removed. Applied for severe or repeated violations.
Enforcement is not strictly sequential — a single severe violation (vote manipulation, illegal content, platform abuse) may result in an immediate permanent ban without prior warning. We do not publish a fixed strike threshold, but we consider accumulated history when determining action.
Enforcement actions may be applied to listings, accounts, or both. Where a tier purchase is associated with a banned account, no refund is owed.
§ 07
Appeals
If you believe an enforcement action was applied incorrectly, you have the right to appeal. Appeals must be submitted within 30 days of the enforcement action.
How to appeal: Contact us at support@tnoone.com with your account username, the nature of the action taken, and the reason you believe it should be reviewed. An appeal submission form will be available on this site. We will review all appeals in good faith and respond within a reasonable timeframe. Submitting an appeal does not guarantee reinstatement. Decisions on appeals are final.
Note: appeals submitted in bad faith, or accompanied by abuse toward staff, will be dismissed without further review.
